Beautiful Sunset in Twin Falls!

Malad Gorge

There was a little bridge that went over the gorge. This picture is taken from the bridge looking down on the river and little waterfall!

Going down a fun ice slide!

So some of you may wonder what it is like to cook dinner on our small counter with no stove or oven. It actually isin't that bad, but we decided to experiment with something new tonight. There is premade garlic bread in this plug in skillet. It is supposed to go in the oven, but turned out just the same :o) We also didn't have enough space on the "kitchen" counter so we had to make it in the bathroom...pretty humorous huh?! I thought we needed a picture of this to look back at and laugh at it some day.

There is an elk farm near by Twin Falls and this huge guy is in a penned area by himself. I got out of the car and started to talk to him in a high voice and he walked right up to me, bowed his head and showed me his antlers...so nice of him. Idaho elk are so polite. :o)
He was only nice for a little bit. A few moments after I took this picture he tried to "get me" with his antlers. He backed up and then rammed them really hard against the fence. It was pretty scary...I stood a little farther back after that. I got a video of him doing it again, but he was not as nearly as forceful the second time. yikes!

I think he's trying to smell me or something before he made sure it was safe to come close. Who knows what he's doing, but he looks really funny.

Here are some more elk in a different area.

I tried to tell them that Christmas was last month and that Santa uses reindeer but they just wouldn't get out of line...they can't accept that the big guy isn't coming with his sleigh.

Going up the skii lift

Twin Falls, well, at least half of it :o) It was the only half that was running...the other half was damed off.

Cassie and James at the top of the mountain.

Me and Den at the top!

About to go night skiing at Bogus Basin in Boise. We went with James and Cassie. Cassie was a good friend from HS who now lives in Boise.

Denny sliding down the stairs at the capitol. It had just been renovated and opened for the public.

Thousands Springs

On our way home from Balanced Rock and Thousands Springs we saw this tree with a lot of big birds in it. We stopped and noticed that they were bald eagles! Other cars had stopped and were taking pictures too. Denny counted 46 bald eagles in this and two other trees! It was amazing.

Thousands Springs Waterfall! wow

Fish Hatchery...Denny could have spent all day here :o)
